Project Summary:
In August of 2000 MSD began construction of the $64.6 million Alternative Solids Process (ASP) at the Morris Forman Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Louisville, Ky. MSD chose the Black & Veatch Corporation and J.S. Alberici Construction Co., Inc Joint Venture to design and construct a process to replace the existing Zimpro process to help reduce the majority of the odors at this plant. The joint venture chose to partner with Andritz-Ruthner, Inc. of Arlington, Texas to develop the high-tech process to meet the customers' needs. The parent company, Andritz Group, is based in Graz, Austria. Guarantee Electrical Company (St. Louis, Mo.), B&S Electrical Supply (Louisville office) and Henderson Services (Louisville office) partnered together to meet the demanding challenges of a $7 million design/build electrical contract that required an intense amount of co-ordination between the design team and the various contractors.
